The Value-Add Nudge

A third-touch follow-up that leads with something genuinely useful instead of another "just checking in".

What you'll need

  • Who the lead is and what they wanted
  • One useful thing you could share
  • Any AI chat assistant

The steps

  1. Jot down what the lead cared about and one helpful thing you could offer.
  2. Paste the prompt and fill in the brackets.
  3. Read it, make it sound like you, and send.
  4. Keep it light — no pressure.

The prompt

Write a short, low-pressure follow-up to a lead who's gone quiet — but lead with value, not another ask.

Lead: [name]
What they were interested in: [product/service]
Something useful I can offer: [a quick tip / relevant example / free resource]
My business: [your business name]

Under 80 words. Open with the useful thing, tie it to what they cared about, and end with a soft, easy question. Helpful, not salesy.

Make it shorter

Trim this to three sentences max while keeping the useful bit up front.

What you'll get

A follow-up that earns a reply by being helpful first — it warms the lead back up without pestering.

If it's not quite right

  • Nothing useful to share? Ask "Suggest three small, genuinely helpful things I could offer this lead."
  • Too formal? Add "Write it like a quick note to a friend."
