Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 22, 2026
1. Overview
Dash of AI ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit dashofai.ai or subscribe to our newsletter, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
We are the data controller responsible for your information. If you have questions or want to exercise any of your privacy rights, email privacy@dashofai.ai.
2. What We Collect
Newsletter subscribers. When you subscribe to our Daily Bites newsletter, we collect your first name, email address, the date and time you signed up, and how you interact with our emails (opens and clicks).
Chatbot users. Dash of AI hosts an AI-powered chatbot on our website to answer questions about our content and services. When you interact with the chatbot, the messages you send are processed by Anthropic (the underlying AI provider) and logged by us to improve our responses over time. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the chatbot.
Website visitors. When you visit dashofai.ai, our hosting provider automatically collects standard technical data: your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and device type. We use this to keep the site secure and performant.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Send you the Daily Bites newsletter and confirm your subscription
- Respond to your chatbot questions and support requests
- Operate, secure, and improve our website
- Comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who We Share It With
We share data only with the service providers that operate our platform. All are bound by contract to protect your information and to use it only on our behalf. We share data with service providers that help us operate our platform, including a website host, a database provider, an authentication provider, a newsletter platform, and an AI provider, Anthropic, that powers our chatbot. All are based in the United States and are bound by contract to protect your information and use it only on our behalf. A list of our current service providers is available on request.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Dash of AI or others.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies needed for the site to function, such as session and security cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not share data with advertising networks.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus up to twelve months for compliance purposes.
- Chatbot interactions: up to twelve months, then aggregated or deleted.
- Website analytics: up to twenty-four months in aggregated form.
You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).
7. Your Rights
Wherever you live, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Ask us to stop processing it
- Receive a copy in a portable format
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dashofai.ai. We will respond within thirty days (or, for California residents, within forty-five days as required by the CCPA, which we may extend once by an additional forty-five days if needed — we will tell you in advance).
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights:
- Right to Know. You can ask us what categories of personal information we have collected about you, the sources we collected it from, the purposes for which we collected it, the categories of third parties we shared it with, and the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Delete. You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to certain legal exceptions (for example, completing transactions or complying with our own legal obligations).
- Right to Correct. You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing. You can direct us not to sell or share your personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising — so there is nothing to opt out of — but the right itself remains yours.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information as defined under the CPRA (for example, Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or biometric data). There is nothing to limit.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.
How to make a request. Email privacy@dashofai.ai with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line, and tell us which right you are exercising.
Verification. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm details we already have on file — such as the email address used to subscribe — before we fulfill an access, deletion, or correction request. We will only use the information you provide for verification to verify your identity.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing written, signed authorization. We may require the agent to provide proof of authority and may contact you to verify the request.
"Shine the Light" Law. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, so California Civil Code § 1798.83 ("Shine the Light") does not apply to our practices.
European Privacy Rights
EU, EEA, and UK residents have the rights listed above under the GDPR. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our legal bases for processing under the GDPR are: your consent (for newsletter subscription), our legitimate interests (for site security, performance, and improving our services), and legal obligation where applicable.
8. International Data Transfers
Dash of AI is based in the United States, and your data is processed in the United States. If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and Data Processing Agreements with our service providers to protect your information during transfer.
9. Children
Our services are not directed to anyone under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@dashofai.ai and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, access-controlled infrastructure, and standard security practices to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we will notify affected users and authorities promptly if a data breach occurs, in line with applicable law (within 72 hours where GDPR applies).
11. Changes
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we make changes. If the changes are material, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email.
12. Contact
For any privacy question or request, email privacy@dashofai.ai with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.
