The Graceful Close
The polite "should I close your file?" note that surprisingly often gets a reply — and frees you from chasing.

What you'll need
- Who the lead is and what they wanted
- Any AI chat assistant
The steps
- Decide this is the last nudge for now.
- Paste the prompt and fill in the brackets.
- Send it and let it go — the ball's in their court.
- If they reply, great; if not, you've cleanly closed the loop.
The prompt
Write a short, gracious "last check-in" email to a lead who never replied. Lead: [name] What they were interested in: [product/service] My business: [your business name] Under 70 words. Friendly and no-pressure: let them know I'll close their file for now unless they'd like to pick it back up, and leave the door wide open. The kind of note that makes it easy to say "actually, yes".
Soften or sharpen
Give me one warmer version and one more matter-of-fact version, so I can pick the tone.
What you'll get
A respectful close that often sparks a reply — and either way, gets the lead off your mental to-do list.
If it's not quite right
- Feels too final? Add "Make it clear they can reach out anytime, no awkwardness."
- Want a hook? Add "Add a one-line P.S. with a reason to come back now."
